WorldFlight is an annual event in which 14 full sized home built simulators, similar to our own, are flown in unison for a week, 24 hours a day, circumnavigating the world in 49 legs.  The event tests both the crews and the simulators to the extreme and is all for the purpose of raising money for each of the individual sims charities of choice. This year we have set ourselves the goal of raising £4,000 for the Gloucestershire based charity Fly2Help

The flights will be conducted online on the VATSIM network, providing live Air Traffic Control through most of the countries that we visit. A 45-60 minute turn around is allowed at each stop and during that time the incoming crew will be fully briefed as to weather conditions along their route as well as other operational requirements.

Fly2Help

Fly2help provide 2 programmes using the power of aviation.

Air Smiles Days are experience days for children and adults living with profound disability, life-limiting conditions, severe illness, bereavement and isolation. Built around a flight in a light aircraft, the days include activities that enable our beneficiaries to leave their worries on the ground. Creating a lasting memory of a happy day out together. Air Smiles days build confidence and offer respite from their usual situation allowing them to see everything from a different perspective.

Aim High is an education programme that helps young people learn about the world of aviation and gain confidence and a belief in themselves. Students learn more about the breadth of career opportunities in the Aviation industry and what skills and attributes they would need to find a place and how their career might develop.
