About Team Velocity UK & WorldFlight
WorldFlight is an annual event in which 12 full-sized simulators, similar to our own, are flown in unison for a week, 24 hours a day, circumnavigating the world in 49 legs. The event tests the crews and the simulators to the extreme and is all to raise money for each of the individual sims charities of choice. This year we have set the goal of raising £10,000 for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity. Over the last six years of WorldFlight participation, Team Velocity UK has raised over £25,000 for our Partner charities. The Team come from all walks of life, including Commercial and Private Pilots.
WorldFlight 2023 - GREAT WESTERN AIR AMBULANCE CHARITY
GWAAC provide emergency care to people who are in a state so critical that they require the specialist skills of our team at the scene of the accident or medical incident. Though we are part of the regional 999 response service and work closely with NHS hospitals, we are a charity entirely funded by local people just like you.
We don’t simply fly people to the nearest hospital. Our priority is to get to the patient fast. We treat people at the scene, on the road and in the air, providing complex interventions to stabilise and treat the patient and give them the best chance of a positive outcome. The service we provide is reliant on our brilliant team of pilots, specialist paramedics and doctors who specialise in pre-hospital care.
GWAAC saves lives across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, North Somerset and parts of Wiltshire.

The Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network connects people from around the world acting as Air Traffic Controllers and are supporters of Worldflight.
